You can show similarities and differences in parents and their off-spring in plants, such as trees and sapplings, or animals, such as leopards and cubs.

Your group may elect to use a power point to show the differences between inherited traits and learned behavior. Was your cat born purring, or did she decide to purr when gently stroked? How about your dog, was he born shaking hands?

Here are the objectives that need to be covered by your project.
1. Chart and collect data on inherited traits such as, hand span, hair color, or ear lobes.
2. Identify similarities of parents and off spring such as, trees and saplings, leopards and cubs, chickens and chicks.
3. Contrast inherited traits with learned behavior, such as cats purring when being petted, cats meowing at the door when they want out, dogs sitting when commanded because they want or expect a reward.
